Karate, professional development and client satisfaction. What do they all have in common? HUB!
Over the past few months, HUB’s account managers have been undertaking psychological training to help them grow both as professionals and individuals, culminating in a three-hour workshop in which the team tested and overcame their doubts and fears – by karate chopping through wooden boards!
The team put their resilience and determination to the test, and account director Marc even broke his board into three pieces! (Remind us not to get on his bad side any time soon.)
Our client services team thoroughly enjoyed the session, and different elements of the course really resonated with different members of the team.
“[This training] has changed the way I think about communication and the mentality behind it,” said Chris Kane, our digital account manager. “For me the eye-opening part of the course was ‘deletions, distortions and generalisations’ which now helps me to understand client requests better and what questions to ask when replying. It just allows me to break down a request and address areas where we need more detail or clarification, which makes the whole development process slicker as well as increasing productivity.”
We’re super proud of our team for completing the course and facing their fears head-on. And it means our clients will benefit even more than they already do, with even clearer communication and efficiency from the HUB team.
