About HUB

HUB is an integrated marketing agency based in Leeds. We are a collection of creative and technically skilled individuals, who have all been carefully selected to deliver the talent and enthusiasm needed to successfully deliver quality services for our clients. We’ve been working hard for over 15 years to achieve our vision.

HUB opened its doors in January 2007 as a startup, driven by three passionate marketeers with a determination to succeed. Since then, the agency has recruited diverse and skilled colleagues who fit with our ethos. These people have helped us grow to become a thriving business.

The company is built on a simple foundation of driving success for our clients, which ultimately means success for HUB. The core of our philosophy is that hard work and great ideas deliver both our vision and that of our clients, creating rewarding careers for talented individuals along the way.

About The Role

We are seeking a pro-active and hands-on Web Development Account Manager to manage retained and new clients, and drive website and content requirements.

Our ideal candidate will have proven knowledge working with e-commerce and lead generation sites, and on-site content activity. You will be a strong problem solver, organised with a can-do attitude, and able to demonstrate a history of delivering to agreed deadlines and budgets.

Approximately half your time will be spent managing the e-commerce development roadmap and onsite digital requirements for one of HUB’s highest profile clients!

In addition, there is opportunity to pitch for new digital projects, and manage a mix of other smaller retained clients.

Your main duties will include:

  • Defining, communicating and managing plans for owned projects with deliverables, timescales, responsibilities and stakeholders, using a mix of software platforms including Jira, Slack channels and Google Sheets.
  • Turn new inbound client and internal requests (via multiple channels) into written requirement briefs for the design and development teams to scope delivery and estimate resource time. When familiar and proficient, scope and quote time based on previous HUB projects.
  • Create client quotes, and gain approval for go-ahead. Where required, liaise, rescope and offer other options depending on budget limitations.
  • Write briefs and assign tasks on Jira for both HUB teams and the client to action within agreed deadlines.
  • Facilitate open and honest communications between HUB teams and the client to ensure visibility and trust is forefront in our internal and client relationships.
  • Manage the day-to-day flow of briefs, delivered tasks and resource time used (e.g. client amends, changes to scope, new requests, etc.). Schedule, chair and minute regular progress meetings, and chase up actions to ensure on-time deliverability from both the client and internal resources.
  • Understand HUB built website content management systems and ecommerce back-ends for your own clients to become the go-to point of contact for client queries and any training required.
  • Triage and replicate reported issues, offer ‘user error’ solutions, and where needed escalate to the development team for resolution.
  • Be hands on with client data and website content where needed to assist the population of websites built.
  • Proof delivered designs against brief, and test deployed development against agreed functionality scopes.
  • Track resource hours against tasks/projects to stay within agreed budgets. Manage any overruns with the teams for efficiency, and with the client to re-quote and agree revised project budgets and/or limit scope if necessary.
  • Invoice projects in a timely manner to meet HUB’s finance processes.
  • Collaborate with specialists in design, digital marketing, and other services to provide a comprehensive full service to our clients.
  • Contribute to pitches to win new client business, and propose website roadmaps for existing clients that include maintenance, upgrades, enhancements, content and digital marketing activity.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience using project management software tools such as Jira, Slack and/or others.
  • Skilled in Google docs and sheets, and/or the equivalent Microsoft packages.
